Word on the Street

Ticky-tac Foul (tik’-e-tak’ fowl) noun. A foul that is called on a play in which the defender makes minimal contact with the offensive player.

Usage example:Eric Snow barely brushed against Allen Iverson, but the ref called a ticky-tac foul because Iverson missed the layup.

Now that’s a ticky-tac foul if I’ve ever seen one.
