Word on the Street

Whatever (hwuht-ev-er) pronoun. Used in an argument to admit that you are wrong without admitting it so the argument is over. Often pronounced wha-ever.

Usage example: The official told Kobe he had travel. Kobe looked at him and said: ‘whatever!’

Word trivia: Even do it works on the court, the phrase is much more ordinary off the court. Often said in a nonchalant way followed by a twist of the head. The phrase was coined and perfected by, the not so “manly” players. (*cough* Carmelo *cough*)

A very “happy” player. Picture him use “whatever” in a sentence.
