Word on the Street

Butter, Baby (buht-er, bey-bee) noun. A phrase used when something goes smooth. Ex. A screen-and-shoot.

Usage exampel: Kobe’s comes off a screen, gets the ball, and …swish! Nothing but net. That’s Butter, Baby!

Word trivia: You have all felt it, when time stops and all you can hear is the sweet, beautiful sound of the swish! Your whole body is in control, you feel like your on top of the world, at peace …with yourself and the court. You only see yourself and nobody else. Almost like looking down from above. You follow that arc all the way down into the hoop, like a rainbow, you’re on cloud 9, …it’s Butter, baby!

It’s Butter, Baby!
